"THE LITTLE RED BOOK"

Many of us at work on the Surgical Wards use lists either consciously or subconsciously in the course of patient care to remind us of the smaller details in management.  This booklet is a compilation of some of these, and their similarity to common topics in oral tests will not go unnoticed.

The "Little Red Book" has become popular not only in Queensland but further afield in Sydney, Melbourne, New Zealand, the U.K.
and Canada.  

It is aimed primarily at registrars and senior medical students revising for examinations in General Surgery.

By reading through the Lists as a revision tool, any gaps identified in knowledge base may be redressed by turning to the useful standard textbooks at the beginning of the book.  The 2010 6th edition is now published and available from The University of
Queensland Department of Surgery, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane.  Arrangements are underway for "General Surgical
